  The representative was very nice. She said if I paid 24.95 for an emerald card the funds from my tax return would be put on my card in 20 mins. I stated that sounds great. So I signed up for it. After we are all done she tells me it could take 21 days to get put on my card. Than I was reassured since I have a very simple return it will be more likely a 20 min delay. I called after a week of waiting to ask where my refund is. I thought this was a fair amount of time. They kept saying they have no power to release funds from the irs that it could take 21 days. I said that's fine, but could I get a refund on my emerald card since there really is no point to it . It could be direct deposited into my personal checking just as fast. The whole selling point was 20 mins and you will have your refund. Than they became redundant and said they don't have that power to release my tax return. I said that's fine I would just like a refund on my emerald card for being mislead. They repeated to me they have no way to release to me my tax return until it is released by the irs. I repeated the question to a supervisor and she did the same thing. Funds cannot be released till the irs releases them. I don't care about that. I just wanted a refund and they completely avoided the question. I have been going to h and r block for years. Sad to say they will lose a customer over 24.95.
